Gulf residents look to Emoter-in-Chief
There was some confusion initially over whether BP or the White House was in charge of emoting for Americans over the oil spill disaster. But it has to be the president, because BP chief Tony Hayward disqualified himself when he complained to reporters that he wanted his life back. So Barack Obama is the Emoter-in-Chief. Only it isn't clear that he wants the job.

Wishin', hopin' and prayin'
The period from March 2009 was the year of wishful thinking. Central banks cut interest rates and governments opened their cheque books providing a flood of cheap money that gave the illusion of recovery and a normal functioning economy. But the Global Financial Crisis has morphed into a Global Sovereign Crisis and the world has plenty to worry about.

That's not the boast it sounds like - it's a statement about how little there is to know about the biographical details of the greatest writer in the language. He's been celebrated for at least 300 years, but the documentary discoveries about Shakespeare have been few and far between.

There's a (funding) revolution going on?
A real education revolution has started and no-one has noticed. Back in March, all school sectors agreed on principles for a single, national, funding system for all schools. Yet this historic agreement has been met with complete silence. Everyone is obviously too busy exchanging blows over the national curriculum and expensive school halls to notice.

In fact, about 2.8 million TVs have been 'thrown away' since the beginning of 2009, which means about 5,600 tonnes of hazardous waste has been dumped.
