Police believe Cameron Mansell travelled to
Queensland on public transport and is now
somewhere between Townsville and Cairns.

Western Australia Police say the man wanted over the murder of missing Perth businessman Craig Puddy has been spotted in north Queensland.

Mr Puddy's business associate Cameron Mansell fled to South Australia under a false name late last week.

Police believe he travelled to Queensland on public transport and is now somewhere between Townsville and Cairns.

Inspector David Bryson says there has been a confirmed sighting of Mr Mansell within the last 24 hours.

He has called for Mr Mansell to turn himself in.

"Either hand yourself in to police up there or contact your lawyer here in Perth and give yourself up," he said.

"This manhunt is not going to stop. We are not going to stop until we get you so please give yourself up."

Police say Mr Mansell has been using the fake names Gavin Jones and Gavin Kelvin.
